Medicine Services

You've planned your trip abroad for months. You've made plane and hotel reservations, determined the sights you wish to visit, stocked up on the rolls of film. You're now ready to embark on a exciting vacation or business trip. But the dream trip could turn into a nightmare if you haven't taken the proper health precautions before you travel. Taking the proper precautions can greatly decrease your chances of becoming ill during your trip. Foreign Travel and Wilderness Medicine Services will help you prepare for your travels and offers a variety of services tailored to your specific needs.

Services
Foreign Travel and Wilderness Medicine Services are comprehensive services able to manage all health issues related to travel. We offer pre- and posttravel medical consultations, all the necessary travel vaccines and medications, itinerary specific health education and care for travelers with special needs or complicated itineraries.

Vaccinations
Foreign Travel and Wilderness Medicine Services offers all vaccinations recommended or required for international travel. Travelers should seek advice at least six weeks before departure to allow for adequate time for immunizations. However, it is never too late to receive vaccines and preventative medicines even if you are traveling sooner.
Our Foreign Travel Service is an approved Yellow Fever Vaccination Center.

Follow-up vaccines are provided for those immunizations requiring a series of shots. Most Insurance Companies cover vaccinations but please check with your carrier to verify
your coverage.

Pre-Travel Evaluation
The pre-travel evaluation will go over your health history, previous immunizations, specific itinerary and the type of traveling you will be doing. We will then make recommendations for you.

Remember to bring a record of your previous immunizations and current medications.

Foreign Travel and Wilderness Medicine Services will administer immunizations as needed including
Yellow Fever.

You will learn about the major health risks you may encounter while traveling abroad, including accidents and other emergencies, and how best to protect yourself.
